I like it very much, however I feel that bright end of cave should be avoided in this layout. Path leading towards end point should be main focal point. The cave should be darker in my opinion. “Stunning nano aquascape! The driftwood layout is very well done. I wish the water surface was not cropped out of the photo. And two really minor things that would improve this layout are to fill in the left upper corner so that it doesn’t compete with the bright pass through in the centre and the small wood nub sticking down in the bright pass through area disrupts the view. Very well done!”

“I feel right at home”
“Nice and healthy tank! Lovely choice of Rodwayi tetra gives this layout great sense of scale. It is a very mature layout and some areas are becoming very overgrown and need more attention, especially the montecarlo carpet which is way too thick. Good balance of colours and textures. Wood on the left side would benefit from some moss cover to soften its look and make blend better within aquascape. Well done! Very nice work.”
“This leaves a mixed feeling. It took me awhile to determine why. I think it is the Hydrocotyle seems to be aggressively consuming the layout. I can see a few wisps of stems remaining at the edges. To me it unbalances an otherwise nice layout. Good work but time to get the scissors out.”

“Elegant and striking”
“First impression is that this is bright and beautiful and neat and tidy. Plants are well selected and maintained. Two things that would improve this layout is the hairgrass could be taper and thin out into the sand area instead of an abrupt ending which disrupts the natural feel. The second is that the layout does not fill the tank and there is a lot of area above top of the plants that is empty.”

“Very pleasing layout. Plant health looks overall pretty good though the tattered leaves on the Anubias is prominent. Photo is out of focus in the foreground and overexposed making it a little hard to judge. Plant layout and trimming are a bit too structured and more integration and variation would improve the layout to make it feel more natural."

“Very detailed and skillful diorama layout. The balance is very good but there are some areas that could be improved. Mainly the front left side would improve with some rock details and adding some small buces would give this layout more contrast with colours and textures. I like fine details with roots and also sense of scale and perspective in such a small aquarium”

“This feels so incredibly peaceful.”
“Really nice layout but my very first impression was....oh no! there are fish floating upside down on the top! Reflections are a tricky thing. Im wondering if the continuation of the sand from the back over the gravel in the front would have improved the layout. Overall I really like the natural feel of this layout. The thick monte carlo maybe wasn’t the best choice for the foreground as it disrupts the amazing texture of the rest of the layout.

“Lovely natural looking tank with nice splash of colour in the background and well positioned ember tetras give it a good sense of depth. Large piece of wood throws it out of balance a little but nevertheless great work.”
“Impressive aquascape. Great attention to detail and I really appreciate the selection and fish placement in the photo. The Buce are really well integrated with the various mosses. The fine branch work is also really well done. The layout is a bit unbalanced though with the large driftwood element on the right and only a single vertical stick in the back left which also has a bad reflection. Unfortunately that the stem plants are closed up in the photo. Great work!”

“The first thing I noticed in this layout was the fish inexplicably facing away from each other! Its a nice triangular layout. Its really unfortunate that the Rotala was closed up despite having obvious pearling. Guessing the photo was taken right after lights out. The choice of the Nymphaea in the back right is questionable as this plant will probably dominate.”

“Love the different heights created!”
“Unfortunately this photo is quite blurry. The overall feel of this layout is pleasant with a triangular composition. Stem plants are nice but could benefit from a bit more integration. From what I see the plants and fish are in good health. The foreground would be improved if the sand was taken all the way across the front versus having the mounded aquasoil. Also the right side would benefit from extending the Buce and Pinnatifida to cover these stones as well.”

“This a darker mysterious feeling tank despite the bright cosmetic sand. The Rotala stems in the back left are the highlight of the tank. Some of the plant health seems to be degraded toward the bottom. The plants are not integrated as well as they could be and are working against each other disrupting the layout."
